NEWS UPDATE
Well, it is time to start enjoying spring and shortly summer. The winter season has been hard on a lot of us with prices going up on everything from food to fuel. The big problem is that some of us took our anger out on other vehicles and other drivers on the road. Why? Maybe because we could not think of anything else to do but remain the unknown driver who drove without concern for others on the road.
We at Community Driver Safety Programs, Inc. tried to show people how to correct this problem. We held classes during the winter for adult and young drivers. With instructing the National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving 6/8 hour course and the Alive@25 course. The programs pointed out how to drive for other drivers and allowed the people who attended the courses to let off some steam in a safe way.
We have the list of up coming classes for the rest of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. Please check our list of classes and locations. On the list you will find that we have added the Alive@25 program. This program is being given for all students in high schools. We encourage all parents to request their high schools to arrange for this program in order to help keep our young drivers safe. The program can also be given at other locations. We now have a short program for parents of young driver who wish to help them deal with the new driver.
In order to help improve our services to the public we have added to our Board of Directors. The new members are Elizabeth Pedraza, Director of Daily Operations, Brenda Safer, Director of Communications and Rafael Soto Director of Grant Management. Contact any of the directors by email. Contact Manny by email.
Manny has added to his own training by taking and passing the course to be an Instructor Trainer for Defensive Driver 6. This means that we can now offer the following National Safety Council Programs: Defensive Driving 4, 6, & 8 hour programs, the Alive@25 program, Instructor Training 6 hour program, Certified Emergency Operator Course for ambulance and fire apparatus operators and to do incident investigations for ambulance, fire and school buses.
We now accept American Express credit cards and will soon accept PayPal.
Our plans are to add additional instructors and other National Safety Council programs. We encourage all to join us in our attempt to make your live safer. Please remember our big question, ARE YOU A SAFE DRIVIER?
Yours in safe driving,
Mandell (Manny) Safer
